Below are listed some of the recent settlements and verdicts we have obtained for our clients.  When considering these listed results it is important to understand that each case is different.  Outcomes will vary depending on the facts of each case.  Also, it should also be noted that many large settlements are made by defendants only if confidentiality is attached to them.  Thus, some of our largest settlements cannot be listed on this page due to confidentiality agreements with the settling defendants.

Recovery $2,529,229 Jury Verdict for Grambling Basketball Athlete who suffered serious Heat Stroke and Traumatic Brain Injury when forced to run in the heat without water

Recovery $4,500,000 for failure to diagnose cancer;

Recovery $1,377,000 Jury Verdict;Trucking Accident where 18 wheel truck crossed the center line and hit our client head on causing his death. Verdict was the highest verdict in the court's history in that Parish;

Recovery: $4,661,333 Jury Verdict; to a truck driver who sustained a Traumatic Brain Injury when a board struck him in the head when his 18 wheeler was being unloaded at a warehouse facility in New Orleans;

Recovery:$1,100,000; Our Clients' Mother sustained severe brain damage and ultimately died as a result of a physician's failure to monitor her during transportation from the operating room to the Intensive Care Unit.

Recovery: $2,600,000.00 Our client suffered amputation of both legs, a stroke, and blindness in one eye as a result of an infection which was not treated timely.

Recovery: $1,370,000.00 verdict for the husband of a 25 year old woman who died on Kidney dialysis because she was not given a needed blood transfusion.

Recovery: $2,060,000.00 for a client who suffered multiple brain surgeries as a result of a brain infection which was not timely diagnosed by his physicians. Amount included a lump sum payment of medical expenses above Louisiana's cap on damages.

Recovery: $450,000.00 Our client suffered near blindness as a result of an eye surgery for which consent was not properly obtained

Recovery: $500,000.00 recovered for a client that suffered a possible exposure to a potentially incurable brain infection from a contaminated surgical instrument

Recovery: $1,200,000 Settlement for a woman who became a paraplegic as a result of an undiagnosed and untreated spinal hematoma from use of the drug Lovenox

Recovery: $790,000 settlement for wrongful death of a woman following an ERCP procedure in which she sustained a duodenal perforation

Recovery: $700,000 for the wrongful death of a man who was not diagnosed with an ongoing heart attack and who left the E.R. because of the delay in being seen by a doctor

Recovery: $490,000 settlement for death of a woman who waited in the E.R. for three hours with chest pain, and who ultimately died from an undiagnosed heart attack

Recovery: $650,000 verdict for a man who suffered a below the knee amputation as a result of a delay in diagnosing osteomyelitis, a bone infection in his tibia

Recovery: $425,000 settlement for a woman who suffered a complete transsection of her superficial peroneal nerve during a fasciotomy surgery on her lower leg for compartment syndrome

Recovery: $300,000 settlement for a man who underwent multiple surgeries for compartment syndrome because a surgical tournequit was applied too long during a leg surgery

Recovery: $425,000 for death of a woman who went to family practice doctor with signs of an infection and who was not examined. She was given prescriptions and released. She died two days later from DIC sepsis.

Recovery: $445,000 for the death of a woman who bled to death during a biopsy surgery when the surgeon clipped a piece of her aorta instead of her tissue

Recovery: $400,000 for the premature death of a man with bone cancer following a medication error on the doseage of Haldol which caused his respirations to slow to the point that he could not clear his secretions. These actions shortened his life by a few years.

Recovery: $400,000 for the death of a 75 year old woman who died from undiagnosed colon cancer. Her primary care physician never offered colon cancer screening to her during his routine checkups

Recovery: $450,000 in damages to the surviving spouse of a woman who died from a post operative heart attack which could have been avoided with beta blocker therapy. Doctor also incorrectly connected a by pass graft to her lower extremity vein instead of the artery.

Recovery: $1,200,000 Alabama case: 45 year old man diagnosed with aortic aneurysm. Instead of surgically repairing this problem, his doctors opted to treat him medically and he was discharged a few days later.. Before he could leave the hospital premises, he died of an aortic dissection.
